No Waste Sewing with Andrea

Join local maker Andrea Caluori for an afternoon of sewing low waste clothing garments in the spirit of earth day! This is a great class for beginner sewists who want to get into garment making construction, but are unsure where to start. Andrea will go over what zero waste and low waste sewing entails, share a collection of resources for future projects, explain how to take your own measurements, the difference between positive/negative ease and sew with you, step-by-step, a low-waste dress or top to wear this summer!
Class instruction is FREE. The library will purchase patterns for participants, but participants are expected to bring their own fabric, sewing notions, and sewing machine. A materials list will be sent ahead of the class with enough time to source materials. Please register by April 15th at the library. Limited to 8.

This is a free session on how to give Narcan in an emergency. Help safeguard neighbors by understanding prescription misuse and opioid use disorder, recognizing an overdose and knowing what to do, and receiving free Narcan!
