A Transformational Poetry Share

Sometimes you battle your demons on the page. But monsters and mayhem can transform with pen and paper or keystroke and screen. You have the power to turn your villains into wise counsel or a hero's dream. 

Find examples of your poems to read that have turned from woeful to joyful, from fearful to hopeful, from angry and monstrous to innocence recovered.
(And you don't have any, find and read someone else's.) 

Come read and listen on Wednesday, October 23, 6:30-8:00pm in the Belding Memorial Library Meeting Room with poet Arianna Alexsandra Collins of Offerings for Community Building. Wine and chocolate will be served.

Come join master quilter Carol Baldwin for an afternoon that will have you in stitches! During this seminar we'll look at the history of quilts in America, including the story of Alice Stock, who made a quilt in 1910 that ended up with Carol, her great-granddaughter. You'll learn how quilts are made, and why we still love them today. The group will receive a small quilting kit with fabric, batting and backing, learn how to thread a needle and make a running stitch, the backbone of handmade quilts. 
Age range: 10 to adult
