Mindful Movement with Ms Sue (ages 3-8)
Mindful Movement with Ms Sue (ages 3-8)
March 4, 2023 11:00 am - 11:45 am
Join us for some Mindful Moments and some fun Movements for ages 3-8. These morning sessions will be themed, based on a story or idea! Mindful Movement helps young ones learn the importance of connecting their mind, breath and body. Mindful Movement allows children to experience and understand how to be present and mindful throughout their day. It gives them tools for using their breath to calm themselves in many life situations. The yoga poses we do together helps them gain a perspective on how amazing their bodies are! Some of the themes we may visit include: being present, being kind, having compassion for oneself and others, appreciating our environment, using your imagination, finding joy, eating healthy, staying positive, being thankful, being flexible.

“March Madness”: Spring Poetry Share
“March Madness”: Spring Poetry Share
March 29, 2023 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Cosponsored with Straw Dog Writers Guild and Offerings for Community Building
Hares are getting frisky. Owls are hooting up a storm. Humans are getting stuck in the mud. Meanwhile there is poetry to be shared! Join writer and poet Arianna Alexsandra Collins for an evening of speaking your truth through poetry. The goblet has been thrown down, wine spilling across the table cloth, and we dare you to find and read your racy, spring-beckoning, rich & loamy poems. Share your own work or work by others. Wine and chocolate will be served. This program is free and open to the public. Please register by contacting the library at bmlashfield@gmail.com or 413-628-4414.
